JANUARY 2008
As you know it's cold outside and our
work has slowed accordingly. We are very
hesitant to pour any exterior concrete
now. As I've stated in the past, we
strive to give our builders and
homeowners a quality product they can
enjoy for many years.
We are able
to pour commercial slabs, residential
basements and garages that we can heat,
if needed, to cure properly. Last year
we purchased a Glycol Machine that gives
us the ability to thaw 10,000 square
feet of ground up to 12" down in a 24
hour period. It also aids in curing our
commercial slabs when the temperatures
get below freezing.
This is a
good time of year for us to maintain our
equipment to prepare for our busy spring
schedule.
Helpful
Hint: In the winter it is not uncommon
to notice your exterior concrete,
(driveways, patios, service walks, etc),
may lift slightly. This is caused by the
ground freezing. If you notice your
concrete lifting more than 1/4" there is
a good chance you have excessive
moisture under it. Check your downspout
lines and look at the grade of your yard
for a possible cure to this problem.

Steve
